Art Auction is an annual fundraiser at the Crocker Art Museum that features two virtual auctions (the Silent Auction and Big Names, Small Art (BNSA)) as well as an in-person Live Auction and Preview Party. The event is a massive collaboration between the Development and Marketing departments that includes printed and digital invitations, email campaigns, social media campaigns, digital ads, Fund-a-Need video, signage, and more.
Responsibilities
- Wrote all copy for multiple collateral including printed invitations, email campaigns, social campaigns, and the Art Auction catalogue.
- Collaborated with Development department to determine email campaign strategy for artist submissions, preview party advertising, the online auctions, and the live auction.
- Collaborated with graphic designer to create eye-catching emails and engaging social graphics for campaigns.
- Collaborated with Director of Marketing to draft and edit Fund-a-Need video script.
- Edited and proofed all material to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to Crocker brand.
Skills And Experience
Art Auction is an enormous project with several pieces and parts to track, including multiple events and even multiple audiences. While the Silent and Live Auctions are really geared more towards our audience of donors and members, BNSA and the Preview Party are intended for the broader community. I work directly with Development team members to strategize, plan, and schedule content for both email and social campaigns, and I assist the Director of Marketing with writing and editing a compelling script for the Fund-a-Need video paddle raiser.
